Meetings
are held at Rockland Community Church in Golden,
Colorado 80401,
at 7:00
pm on the third Monday of each month, January through November.
Our meetings
feature a different, fascinating speaker or special event each month. Our
members often work together to make quilts for charities such as People's
Comforters, Project Linus, Bridgeway, Family Tree, and more.
Membership
is open to anyone who is a quilter or has an interest in quilting, no
matter what your skill level. Alpine Quilters members are friendly
and our meetings are fun, so plan to visit us soon!

The
May 20 meeting will be held at Rockland Community Church, not at
Art on the Brix in downtown Golden as originally planned. We WILL
be having show & tell, so remember to bring your quilted works of
art! It will start at 6:30 pm. Please contact Kathy

Our monthly newsletter's name has been changed to "Alpine
Reminders." The corresponding web page is now listed as "Library

The
Paper Piecing Workshop on April 20 was a huge success! Alice
and Athena did
a fantastic job of teaching us how to paper piece the complex "New
York Beauty" pattern. Printable
patterns for this design are on the Everything
Else page. We'd like to schedule
more workshops. Contact Alice

for know what you'd like to learn or what you'd like to teach.
Call for Art: Center for the Arts Evergreen
is requesting entries for their "Exploration of a Medium: Fiber"
show which will run from June 28-August 1st, 2013. Entries must be postmarked

Looking
for a Project? Volunteers needed to make quilts for People's
Comforters. Contact Mona
for information. All fabric and batting is supplied. We sew in a room
at the Evergreen Sheriff's office next to the library on Mondays and Wednesdays
from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Or, if you prefer, the sewing can be done in
your home.
