Looking for a Project? Volunteers
needed to make quilts for People
Comforters. All fabric and batting is supplied. The People Comforters
give their completed quilts to the Victim Services Unit, and advocates
from Victim Services bring the quilts along to help comfort Jeffco victims.
The People Comforters sew nearly 300 quilts each year for the Sheriff's
Office, in addition to their projects for the Colorado State Patrol and
other groups. Many thanks to these special volunteers for the generous
contributions of their time and skill. We meet in a room at the Evergreen
Police office (next to the Evergreen Library) on Mondays and Wednesdays
from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Or, if you prefer, sewing can be done at home.
